Meet the 2018 Tampa Bay FAST50 Honorees: Automotive Development Group Inc.
Company: Automotive Development Group Inc.
Location: Plant City
Industry: Facility design and services for automotive service centers
How would you describe what your company does to a friend or family member who may not know?
Our company’s core business is offering customized facility solutions for automotive dealership service departments and collision centers. We offer design services for these unique spaces. We provide industry leading project management during the installation process and carry forward with warranty administration, equipment maintenance and repair service throughout the life of the facility.
What are some key accomplishments/statistics your company has achieved in the past 12 months?
During our last employee engagement survey, 100 percent of our people responded that, “They derive personal satisfaction and fulfillment from being able to do their jobs well.” We have added 28 new faces to our corporate family in last year. We are currently engaged in facility projects with six of the top 10 dealership groups in the country. We are branching out with new flags being planted in Dallas and West Palm Beach. We have our sights set on three more within the next 12 months (Atlanta, Charlotte and Fort Myers).
Are you currently hiring? If so, how many positions and what types?
We are always in a hiring mode. At any time we are in the market for one to three service techs and a similar number of equipment installers.
What makes your company a fun place to work?
Our employee engagement surveys consistently tell us that our company’s number one attribute is our family atmosphere. We work hard, in a tough environment doing work that is not very sexy. But our folks know that there is a sense of, “We are all in it together,” and if a situation requires such, every member of our team will lace up their boots to do what is necessary to meet our commitments, regardless of title or responsibility.
What is your outlook for the Tampa Bay economy in the years ahead?
Bright! The quality of life in the Tampa Bay area is tough to beat. My family has been in the area since 1997, and with the areas covered by our business we could live almost anywhere, but we choose to make the Tampa Bay area our home.
